The Alma community exists to support moms, not judge them.
These guidelines help keep the space safe, respectful, and helpful.
1. Be Kind and Respectful
- ✔ Share experiences, not attacks
- ✔ Support different parenting choices
- ✔ Assume good intentions
- 🚫 No shaming, guilt-tripping, or personal attacks
- 🚫 No harassment, hate speech, or discrimination
2. No Medical Misinformation
You may:
- • Share personal experiences
- • Ask questions
- • Discuss what worked for you
You may NOT:
- • Give medical diagnoses
- • Promote unverified treatments
- • Discourage professional care
- • Share dangerous or disproven advice
Alma may add context or corrections to protect safety.
3. Personal Experience ≠ Medical Advice
Always frame advice as:
"This was my experience"not
"This is what you should do"
4. Privacy Matters
- 🚫 Do not share:
- • Personal contact info
- • Identifiable photos of children
- • Medical records
- • Other users' private information
5. Sensitive Topics
Topics like:
- Mental health
- Pregnancy loss
- Postpartum depression
- Fertility challenges
Are welcome — with care and respect.
Content encouraging self-harm, harm to others, or medical neglect will be removed and escalated.
6. Reporting & Moderation
You can report:
- A specific comment
- A specific post
- A user profile
Why report comments instead of users?
→ It allows precise moderation without silencing someone unfairly.
Moderators and AI safety systems review reports promptly.
7. Enforcement
We may:
- Remove content
- Issue warnings
- Temporarily restrict accounts
- Permanently ban users in serious cases
Our priority is mom safety, not engagement metrics.
8. Our Promise
Alma's community is:
- Judgment-free
- Evidence-aware
- Moderated
- Built for moms, by moms' needs
